For almost 20 years, I was a professional drummer.
It felt completely natural. I was in my element driving the band from behind the kit, lost in the rhythm. People would say it looked like I was levitating.Now I know why that was. My chart shows Mars, my energy, in Pisces. Pisces rules rhythm, intuition, and dissolving boundaries. My drive was meant to be channeled indirectly, through feeling and flow, within a group. The drums were the perfect physical expression.
But no matter how good it felt, I never built a stable financial life from it.The reason was in my chart, waiting for me to understand it. My North Node, my soul's destination for this life, was in Capricorn in my 10th House of Career and Public Authority. My soul's mission was to build a lasting, structured legacy and step into a role of leadership.But my South Node, my comfort zone, was in the 4th House, the private world of home and inner life. Being the drummer, the hidden power in the band, was that comfort zone.The universe had to get me from the back of the stage to the front of my own life.So, the passion for drumming faded. A voice in my head said, "You don't want to do this anymore." And I listened.What followed was an 18-year struggle. I felt lost in a desert. I tried everything, but financial security was always out of reach. I was an inch from homelessness more than once.This wasn't random bad luck. This was Saturn, the strict teacher, in my 2nd House of Income. Saturn was ruthlessly dismantling any financial structure that wasn't built on my true authority. It was making my old life impossible to force me onto my right path.The struggle was the lesson. I was being redirected with extreme force.
I finally applied my own decoding method to my own chart. I saw the whole story laid out: the Piscean drummer, the Saturnian financial pressure, the North Node calling me to public authority.The 18 years of confusion was the tuition I paid for my clarity.
Now I understand my purpose is to be a decoder. I use this same method to help others see the map of their own lives.
